Meet the teacher sessions are a great way to introduce yourself to your new students and their families. But, for younger kids, it can be nerve wracking. So, to make the moment memorable and fun, how about giving them one of these meet the teacher gifts for students.
The gift ideas I’m recommending here are mainly for preschoolers and kindergarteners. But, I’m sure 7 and 8 year olds would still enjoy some of them.

Meet the Teacher Gifts for Students
1. Squishy toys
Cute squishy toys that come individually wrapped would make perfect gifts for the kiddies. Each student can choose their favorite from a wide range of adorable animals and a couple fruits. You can find other animals squishies that come in their own holding containers too.
2. Play Doh
Play Doh is such a classic in the classroom, why not send the kids home with some after their meet the teacher time? They’ll have hours of fun and you can even ask them to bring it back to school on their first day!
3. Bubbles
Bubbles delight just about every kindergartener on the planet. So, why not gift their parents with little bubble bottles with wands that they can use at home. They are small gifts that are sure to bring lots of giggles and fun.
4. Crayons
Encourage imagination and creativity with these crayon boxes on meet the teacher day. Coloring is more than just fun and play. It can help the students practice hand eye coordination and motor skills.
5. Coloring books
I mean what good are crayons if you can’t color with them? Coloring books can also make adorable gifts for the students. You can pick up Disney princess books that are great for girls or these coloring book and crayon sets with different themes.
6. Finger puppets
Cutesy finger puppets will certainly make any child’s day. Any nervousness they had about heading into a new class may very well disappear when they can pick their own puppets to play with. There are velvet (below) and plastic ones too.

I remember getting one of these as a kid and being completely enthralled with it. I have no idea where it went, maybe my sister stole it! Anyway, these would be fun little presents to get for your students.

Who doesn’t love getting stickers as gifts? These are pretty small and simple meet the teacher gifts for students that they’ll be happy to play with. 9. Stamps
Much like stickers, stamps are great gifts for the kiddies. Self inking stamps are pretty fun little tokens they can play with for months (or until the ink dries out!). You can find stamps for safari animals, Bible themes, and even general silly icons.
10. Children’s books
Books are great meet the teacher gifts for students. While there are so many that would be perfect, you can consider books specific to starting a new level. 11. Welcome cards
Say hi, write a bit about yourself and welcome the kids to your classroom with an adorable welcome card. A warm, hand-written note may not be as fun as toys or crayons, but it’ll certainly be a beautiful keepsake they will treasure as they get older.
