Children day gift ideas for kids
1. Play Doh
Play Doh is such a classic gift for kids so it’s perfect for children’s day. The modeling compound is one of those fun and functional gifts since it encourages play, creativity and imagination. It also helps kids practice fine motor skills and reduce screen addiction.
Here’s a great option that comes with 10 colors in 2-ounce containers. They can have hours of fun with this set.
2. Games
Board games and card games are also wonderful children’s day gift ideas for kids that keep them off their devices. And, there are tons of games to get from multi-player ones, strategy and simple dice ones.
Candy Land board game is a nice game to get, especially for younger kids.
And, for older kiddies, Monopoly Deal, Operation, and Connect Four are all awesome!
3. Toniebox
If you have the budget for it, get a Toniebox for children’s day. What the heck is a Toniebox? It’s a pretty soft and durable audio device that kids can listen to stories, songs and books on. It comes with Disney, Pixar and other characters (called Tonies) and, when placed on the device, pre-saved music and stories based on the character are played.
It’s a unique way for kids to play, interact, have autonomy on what they’re listening to and enjoy more screen-free fun. This bundle comes with Cinderella, Moana, Tangled and other Tonies.
You can purchase additional Tonies too like Winnie the Pooh, Elmo from Sesame Street, Olaf from Frozen and so much more!
4. Mini karaoke
For older kids, they would absolutely love getting a mini karaoke machine. They could belt out their favorite songs and have a dance party for the whole family. Host their friends too for a karaoke battle extravaganza to celebrate the day.
This mini karaoke machine is a great option.
5. Plushies
Hey, a simple plushie and stuffed toy would always be a soft, comforting hit for any kid. There are so many inexpensive options if you’re on a budget. But, if you want to splurge a little, Squishmallows are the way to go! This purple pup is adorable!
6. Craft kits
Here’s another children’s day gift idea that keeps the kids off their devices: craft kits! What is the child into? Are they creative? Do they enjoy building things? Get them something they can make with their own hands. It could be a kit for making friendship bracelets, Lego sets, glow in the dark painted rocks, gel water pets and more!
This paper airplane squadron pack comes with patterned paper, stickers and step-by-step instructions for creating paper airplanes. It’s perfect for boys!
For girls that are unicorn lovers, this DIY light-up terrarium would be a great surprise. It comes with magic sand, figurines and multi-color LEDs.
7. Fidget toys
Fidget toys are simple and cheap toys that the kids would have fun playing with, especially if they enjoy sensory toys and textures.
Squishy toys would definitely fall into this category and I can’t recommend these squishy mochi toys enough (they make great back to school gifts for students!).
Do you remember fidget spinners? They are also an option here, though I’m really into gifting these fidget rings instead.
8. Stickers
Another affordable set of presents that kids would absolutely squeal over are stickers! Heck, I would squeal over them too – I’m such a sticker girlie! You can get simple productivity stickers to help them with studying. Or go for affirmation and fun stickers for their water bottles.
These 200 assorted stickers are waterproof, vinyl and range from 2 to 3.5 inches. They are perfect to share with sticker lovers in the classroom or among the kids in your life.
Also, stop by my cute kawaii sticker recommendations to see what else the sticker lovers would enjoy.
9. Children’s day cards for kids
You can design, print and DIY cards at home using Canva. Or you can use a general card from Amazon and add in a children’s day greeting. I haven’t really found any cards specifically for children’s day which is a bummer.
But, these adorable fun fact animal cards are awesome! The animal graphics can be popped out and used as a bookmark too! How fun? The pack comes with 20 so they’re great for all the kids in your circle.
10. Legos
Here’s another classic happy children’s day gift: Legos. There are lots of different sets so you can definitely find the right one for the boy or girl you are gifting. I absolutely love this 3-in-1 set that you can use to build a fox, owl or squirrel! It’s perfect for kids 9 and up!
