Flaxseed Gel Recipe

This simple flaxseed gel recipe is perfect if you need to make and use flaxseed gel for a single mask.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp flaxseeds
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Add the flaxseeds and water to saucepan on medium heat.
  • Stir often to prevent the seeds from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • Once it starts boiling, stir occasionally until you notice a thick, gel-like string falling from your spoon.
  • After 20 minutes, the gel will start forming but will be runny.
  • 5 minutes more, the gel will be thick enough for these masks.
  • If you want even thicker gel, leave it for a minute or two more.
  • Turn off the heat. Allow to cool
  • Strain and add to a container. Use immediately or store in the fridge.
