Simple Quinoa Recipe
This simple quinoa recipe is a flavorful, healthy, vegan side dish that's perfect as a side, especially with Asian flavors.
- 1 cup quinoa (rinsed)
- 3 cardamom pods
- 3 clove buds
- 1 piece cinnamon stick
- 1/2 tbsp oil
Wash the quinoa.
In a small pot, add oil and spices.
Cook for 2 minutes. Stir to prevent the cardamom from burning.
Mix in the rinsed quinoa thoroughly.
Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
Cover and turn down the heat.
After 7 minutes, stir to ensure the seeds are not sticking to the base of the pot.
Cover and leave for 7 more minutes.
Remove spices and serve.
