  • 1 cup quinoa (rinsed)
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • 3 clove buds
  • 1 piece cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tbsp oil


  • Wash the quinoa.
  • In a small pot, add oil and spices.
  • Cook for 2 minutes. Stir to prevent the cardamom from burning.
  • Mix in the rinsed quinoa thoroughly.
  • Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
  • Cover and turn down the heat.
  • After 7 minutes, stir to ensure the seeds are not sticking to the base of the pot.
  • Cover and leave for 7 more minutes.
  • Remove spices and serve.
