1. Ginger tea calms nausea
The tea is excellent if you’re pregnant and have morning sickness. It is warming but calming and relieves nausea symptoms. It also lowers your likeliness of throwing up. So it is certainly a handy home remedy for nausea and vomiting.
2. It can boost memory
There are a few in vivo studies that show ginger can enhance memory and reduce your risk of brain damage. Not only that, there is also a clinical study that show ginger boosted the memory of middle aged women.
So if you need to fire up your brain cells for an important meeting or just to find your keys, then have a cup o’ ginger.
3. Ginger tea relieves pain
Ginger is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic and analgesic. Phew! That’s a mouthful. A mouthful of tea! Heheh! Corny puns aside, ginger tea can reduce swelling and inflammation and relieve pain.
So you can use it for early morning arthritic pain or after your workout routines. Ginger tea is here to be your all-natural pain killer.
4. It can help with weight loss
This is among my favorite ginger tea health benefits. Just kidding. They all are. A recent study found ginger, green tea and capsaicin helped women lower their body mass index (BMI) and their weight. Their insulin levels also dropped too.

Too Much Ginger Tea is Not Good Either
I have ginger tea once a week but I make mine pretty strong. You can have milder doses more often. But don’t have it while taking blood thinners.
Why? Because ginger itself acts like a blood thinner. And drinking a lot of it while taking warfarin can cause more bleeding when you’re cut. It can also affect your menstrual flow.
So have your wonderful, warm, beneficial cup of ginger tea in moderation.
